Established in 1988, the Jamaica Conservation and Development Trust (JCDT) is a registered non-profit conservation organisation that seeks to protect the natural environment and boasts 25 years of experience developing and managing environmental projects.

JCDT led the first debt-for-nature swap in the English-speaking Caribbean and since 1996 manages the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the surrounding Community Buffer Zone.

Since its inception, JCDT has partnered with bi- and multi-lateral agencies, foundations and businesses to fund and implement conservation initiatives in and around the protected area and buffer zone.
